Over the course of our time in the search business, we have seen certain broad trends get hot in the integrated marketing communications space. The current one is field marketing. We are seeing more of our clients either upgrade this position or bring it in as a new position. We have watched corporations centralize and de-centralize, but the importance of a field presence never goes away. As advertisers become more frustrated with mass media vehicles and more enamored with the internet, we feel that the area of field marketing can always be justified…..particularly if the competition is investing there, too.
